Anything to do with ins & outs at City, or anything of interest elsewhere, if you like..............
First up, City slap £10m price tag on David Marshall according to WO. That should please Tache.

450K bid for Boltons Josh Vela. Can play as a right back or a midfielder.

I have a feeling that might be an old story risen to the top of the swamp again.

Club denying this story at the moment, but then they did that with another marquee signing in Tamas and also the French trialist.........

Old news by now this evening, but it looks like Revell back to Rotherham.

Neil Lennon discussed it today actually - they declined the bid, and reiterated they won't let clubs take advantage of their financial situation. If we want him we have to pay the valuation (which he didn't state).

Probably in the region of £750,000. He's a decent player, but this would be another frustrating one considering we have talented young players of our own.

Here's one which will delight Red. There are rumours of a Pilkington swap for Craig Conway.

Hopefully some one is putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5. I wouldn't mind having Conway back, but not at the expense of Pilkington. Nevertheless, the club might view it as a way of further trimming the wage bill.

Depending on the outcome of Sunday's cup game, City will have three or four Championship fixtures to play before the transfer window closes.
We have already seen a number of other clubs making positive moves for new players, but our Russ maintains that our business may be done later in the month.
Given that we dropped so many points in recent relatively easy games, I would have hoped for a bit more forward planning in getting new bodies in and settling the side down quickly for a push towards the playoffs.
We could be too far adrift by the end of the month for any new faces to make a difference.

I was super excited when we signed Pilkington, but I'd take Conway right now if offered a swap deal. Just seems to have a little more about him - including an end product!

Derby sign two strikers by 7 January and announce that, barring injuries, their transfer business this window is done.
Granted it may be easier to attract players to a top of the table club, but surely our realistic "targets" should have been sounded out well in advance with an aim to reinforce the second half of the season push as soon as possible.

Properly organised clubs already know who they want to buy before the window opens, and also have back ups in mind. We apparently are not one of them, considering our tactic seems to be meandering around car boot sales looking for a deal.

We may well know who we want, but it seems to me that often these are unwilling to commit to City, waiting to see if someone else comes in for them....Nicky Maynard, Fraizer Campbell, Peter Odemthingy spring to mind, but I am sure there are others.

The daily mirror are reporting we have accepted a bid of 10 million pounds from Everton for David Marshall. Cant exactly blame them for that price. Let's see it reinvested into the squad though please.
