Anything to do with ins & outs at City, or anything of interest elsewhere, if you like..............
First up, City slap £10m price tag on David Marshall according to WO. That should please Tache.

Josh Vela....conflicting reports emerging. Looked a racing certainty according to northern papers, but City moved to deny interest.
Read what you will into it, but on the one hand the Bolton owner is looking to offload the club for a nominal sum and would prefer not to lose £500,000 of player asset, but on the other hand, perhaps Vincent Tan has changed his mind about trusting Slade with any more money, given what is being reported about Slade's probable departure, either immediately or in the summer.

Once more our transfer dealings look shambolic. Not just this one but the Club have been saying they want Watt signed up asap despite the fact that he has been with us for some time. If they are that keen, a deal should have been sorted in December so he could sign immediately the window opened.
As ian Walsh said at the weekend "Cardiff are becoming the joke Club of the Championship.

I think Tan may well have severed the purse strings, pending a resolution on the future of the manager and everything is on hold.
Just an afterthought on Tony Watt.....that may well be in place already, but have to happen after the expiry of the loan period, which I think is in a few days.

Some suggestions elsewhere that Charlton are holding out for something closer to £2m for Watt. £1m is probably about his worth, going by other transfers.
Vela will be a decent signing for what is essentially a free purchase in this day and age.

Matthew Connolly has signed a new three year contract, ending speculation about him leaving this window. Consistently our best defender this year, so very good news.

Talk this morning that Mason and Doyle may be sold to Wolves and Preston.
Rusty is obviously pursuing his revolving doors policy with strikers if that's true.

A few random observations on the Mason - Doyle rumours.
1. Mason & Doyle formed a useful partnership at the back end of last season, but never given a chance this time around.
2. Does Wolves' renewed interest in Mason signal an eventual return for ALF. He doesn't seem to have done much at Wolves, but maybe they will want him as well?
3. Doyle has hardly set the world on fire at Preston, so a permanent move seems a little surprising to me.
4. If these rumours come to fruition, then we will be left with Macheda (potential loan to Brizzle), Revell (possibly off to Rotherham) and the unknown, untried and unfit Saadi.
Weighing it up, I think this story a load of blarney about two Irish players, put out by an Irish newspaper. News is quiet all around, clearly......

City value Mason at £5m (allegedly). Meanwhile, back in the real world.

Radio Wales beat you to it - or did you tell them?
He certainly knows how to ingratiate himself "I've joined the biggest club in Wales".
