Rumours, speculation, opinions welcomed here.......
As expected, there is interest in Bruno Manga from the PL. I would be quite happy to sell him and free up cash to strengthen elsewhere. I don't think he has been the same player this year in any event, but he has had some really shaky games away from home.
If he's fit, I'd rather give Ben Turner a new contract, as he has been immense for the club ever since he joined. On the other hand, Manga has made it clear from the off that he wants PL football and if Cardiff is only a springboard to that, then so be it.
With a fit Turner, we will still have three very good CBs, plus young backups that the club will hopefully look to develop under a new regime.

Kyle Lafferty "heavily linked", but thankfully, unlikely to happen.
Probably better than we have got, but a this is a man recently cited by the FA for dodgy gambling practices and described as "an uncontrollable womaniser" by a former Italian club chairman.
Just the sort of player we should be attracting

A little off topic but for those of you interested in films, Rhys Healey is to star in a remake of The Invisible Man.

In some ways, it may be better if we don't land another unwanted journeyman.
I think Trollope could bring on our youngsters as well as anyone else. If not, why bother to have an academy in the first place?
If that approach was adopted, then I am sure the fans would get behind him.
Suffering poor performances and results, but not seeing any direction is a little frustrating.

We were also after Kodjia last summer but, for one reason or another, Bristol City got there first.
I was saying yesterday - had Tammy Abraham signed for us there is no way he would boast similar scoring stats. Have to go back to Bothroyd to find our last 'proper' striker!

Fraizer Campbell available at £500,000, but £30,000 per week will price us out of it.
I can't see any of the fees we received being reinvested, if there is a risk of FFP kicking in.
In many ways, I would prefer not to get Lafferty and just write this season off to rebuilding from within.

I wonder if we might not see Zohore go out on loan today?

Don't think FFP comes into the equation, it's been murmured that Tan has lost all interest in City and is putting all his efforts into his LA team for 2018 season. He's major shareholder and they are apparently having a grand new stadium.

Likewise, I see little point in bringing in Lafferty. Said the same about Bennett, mind, who is surely on hefty wages still

Huws, Amos, Bennett and Lambert are excellent signings, Immers and Richards more than adequate. Not so sure about Fred and Zohore.
All of the dead wood out of the door, as well.
Over to Trollope now to see what he can do with this squad.

Got to question Amos - a below average keeper IMO. Simon Moore would have been a better option
