First topic message reminder :
Cardiff City keeper David Marshall has drawn the attention of Derby County as the Rams look to strengthen the goalkeeper position.
Marshall has been with the Welsh club for six seasons following his move from Norwich City back in 2009, and has played over 200 times for Cardiff.
An integral part of the side that won promotion to the Premier League in 2012-13, Marshall’s vast experience would be a huge asset to Derby should they pursue a transfer.
Marshall’s reputation was further increased following his single-season-stint in the Premier League, as he was voted into Sky Sports Team of the Season.
The 30 year-old keeper has also got experience at International level, having played 17 times for Scotland and earning caps at U21 level.
Much will depend on how the season ends for Derby whether Marshall would be partial to a move, although if they achieve promotion a deal for the stopper would be much more plausible.
With one game left to play, Steve McClaren’s men sit two points inside the play-offs, needing just a point to secure their spot due to their superior goal difference over Brentford and Wolves.

Could be good move for him as Crewe traditionally are very good with development of younger players.

Should have been Blackburn, but they are under a transfer embargo, apparently......bit of a bummer with so many outward transfers.

Festered scored the winner on his debut for Villa. This makes me happy and sad simultaneously.
Covered the Villa game this afternoon. Gestede on the field for 20 mins, first cross into the box and he scores. He now has five more headed goals than any other player in English football over the last two years.

Who the f*ck is festered?
What Gloves said makes more sense.

I'm gutted that we didn't get to maximise his potential like other clubs have.
In the same way that I'm gutted that Revell will probably be picked over Jones.

To add insult to injury, the Blackburn player with the most assists last season was Craig Conway.

Maybe there was more of an issue backstage than we thought during Malkys tenure? Lots of people are saying that Gestede was awful wit is and they aren't wrong, but he didn't get many chances either. Remember that glimpse of him we saw in his debut, where he completely mugged off west hams left back, ghosted down the wing and put the winner on a plate for Kenny Miller? We never saw that again from him, but Blackburn saw plenty of it.
Malky is now known to have made several comments about not wanting too many 'non white' players - Gestede could of felt the force of that. I'm just speculating of course, but it's unusual for someone to go from a lethargic outcast to potentially one of the best strikers in the league and carry that form through to the premier league.

I think the hamstring problems he had when he first joined were the real problem. Once those had been sorted out, he started to look a different player. He was already out on loan at Blackburn (potentially a good move for all) when OGS was appointed and we all know the disaster that followed that.

Loan Watch.
It appears that Deji Oshilaja was outstanding for Gillingham yesterday and scored in a 4-0 win over Sheffield Utd. David Tutonda has also gone out on loan to York but was subbed in a 3-0 defeat.
Le Fondre was on the bench for Wolves and came on in the 90th minute!

I'd settle for that. I think Myhill has just signed a new contract, but whether he was expecting to be 2nd or 3rd choice at that time would be interesting to know.

Quite right. He is the only fit senior keeper at the moment, so no point in WBA signing Marshall and letting Myhill go, as they will be in exactly the same position.
