Wasn't it supposed to be confirmed in the past few days? Has a snag been hit, or are the club potentially waiting for someone else to sign and announce a double swoop? (please be this!)

I've been eating Terrapins mate. Sorry but this restaurant down the bay has some cracking marine dishes on offer. Brb, gonna dip my hand into the tank full of squid next.

Every reporter that has been involved in the story at all is absolutely adamant its already done, and has been since Monday. People have uploaded pictures they've snapped of him in or around the stadium too. While you can't take it for granted obviously, it does seem that for whatever reason the club is holding out on saying anything.

There's an article on Walesonline about us rejecting the Fulham bids for Whitts. It mentions KBK and that wants the deal done before the Olympics start.

"Cardiff have already added three players, signing Slovenian striker Etien Velikonja, midfield player Jordon Mutch and goalkeeper Joe Lewis, while they remain close to clinching a deal for £2.4m-rated Kim Bo-Kyung.
The South Korean winger or central midfield player, 22, has made it clear he wants to sign for Cardiff and personal terms are agreed, though talks continue with his Japanese club Cerezo Osaka.
Kim is in Britain preparing for the Olympics and talks between Cardiff and his representatives went well this week. The deal should be completed fairly quickly and Kim is adamant it must be done before the start of the 2012 Olympic Games."

So...Bellamy doesn't want to sign anything until after the games. Its probably most likely Cardiff are trying to get him to change his mind so the two can be announced together. But, that doesn't stop me holding onto hope that they're simply finalising the deal on another, currently unknown player. Malky is clearly very good at keeping these things under wraps afterall (kyung is the first genuine leak so far), and assuming Bellamy is also a done deal, Malky has still said he's looking for one more player.

As a player from outside the EU, I presume he will have to have a work permit. As an international player that shouldn't be a problem, but I suppose that takes time.

I think we've all thought that at some point, but it can't really be used as a reason he wouldn't sign. Quite the opposite, the real news of the past few days was leaked by Kyungs agents, not discovered by the press. If its not happening, it's because Cardiff don't want him. And they'd be pretty stupid not to, IMO.

I'm not sure who said it but i think it might be a case of his agent, bringing his client to their attention. it wouldnt surprised me if signed but was gone within a season or twoRed614 wrote:glasgowronnie wrote:i've got a feeling he isn't going to sign, as others signings have come out of the blue

Cerezo have moved the goal posts on the transfer fee now.
Are they owned by Sam Hammam?

To be honest I can see the reasoning. You have a young starlet who's wanted by medium reputation teams (us, Celtic, etc), and suddenly you have the Bundesliga champions wanting to butt in the deal.
Imagine if you were selling your car and were happy you get a good price, then suddenly several billionaires show interest in buying it. You wouldn't suddenly want to milk more money out of it?
