Got to be preferable to Russell Slade.

He should cough up the compensation and bring in Hartley. It's his club that are stopping it as they want compensation, I'm not aware of Hartley himself saying he isn't interested.

And if the DoF role is simply to report to the Chairman then I could accept DJ if a good head coach was appointed. If the DoF has control of transfers or anything directly involving what happens on the pitch or the coaching ground then Jones isn't good enough.
