£6million is a bit of a piss-take, he showed he is one of the top keepers in the Prem last year

Bidding has to start somewhere, but two things occur to me. Firstly, having put a £15m label on Marshall, are City indicating that they will cash in at the right price? Secondly, given that and the fact that there is attention from top clubs, I feel it is certain that Marshall's head will be turned and it's only a matter of time before he moves on. Who can blame him?
Nyland to come in as replacement.

Who brought Marshall in to us?
I have to say, I agree with Tan on this, Dave Jones had a superb eye for talent and knows how to get a bargain too. I know it's old ground but Davey could potentially make a great director of football.
We just have to hope that Ole has a good eye for goalkeepers

Hopefully not!
Joe Lewis is no slouch, he'd be a good stand in given regular game time at Championship level.
I'll say this again about Dave Jones - for every Marshall and Whittingham there was an Nsumbu-Ndungu and a Feeney. His hit ratio was really not that high but we only tend to remember the good ones.
He did, however, have a talent for turning around the careers of players who had gone off the boil at other clubs - Koumas, Bothroyd, Whitts, Purse, Chopra etc but, again, he did not have the tactical nous to capitalise on that as much as he should've.

Lewis is an ex England squad keeper and a Wurzel fan I know said Moore was rated very highly there on loan.

I couldn't remember the name of the other keeper we had (and I could not be ARSED to Google it) but I knew he was highly rated.
Any money we make on Marshall is going to be a tremendous profit anyway as we got him for nothing. I don't want to see him go but he deserves better.
