Edited following some research -
Seems the family sharing feature is a victim of the DRM 180. They haven't so much dropped it, but DRM was mandatory in making it functional. No DRM makes family sharing impossible. A shame really.

Also, funnily, consider it this way -
A big company makes a highly controversial decision that upsets everyone, but then publically admits the mistake and delivers a better version, making everyone believe they made a difference when potentially that was the master plan all along.

I'm getting concerned -
How will these changers affect the cloud gaming proposals? How can developers offload vital parts of a game to the cloud to improve performance if they can't guarantee every Xbox one can utilise it? Will developers now respond by not bothering with it, officially making the Xbox much less powerful than the PS4?
