Makes the stadium look terrible, IMO. Sure someone mentioned something to do with health and safety, but we seem to have the only ground in the country with the corners missing!

It's a health and safety requirement. They would have made them big enough to cope with the largest possible capacity once expansion is completed as it lessens the amount of work needed.

Ah good point, I often have to factor the morbidly obese into Health & Safety action plans

In the event of an emergency evacuation it stops them rolling down the aisles like the big f*ck off boulder at the start of Indiana Jobes and the Temple of Doom..
