Since Malky has come to Cardiff we have seen Momentous acheivements from him 2012 Carling Cup final narrowly missing out to Liverfool, 2013 looks as though we r within touching distance of the premiership, so apart from staying up at end of first season, Do u think malky work wonders and get us to a europa league spot?
Europa league spot...good one tache
A good season for me next year (assuming we are in the PL) would be avoiding relegation and having a decent cup run, maybe the FA cup since it's more lucrative.
I also look forward to the transfer window - be interesting how much Tan is willing to spend.

We could probably be doing without cup competition commitments next season. It will be a tough enough season, even though there will be fewer league games than in the Championship.
As Rhys says, it will be interesting to see how the squad is supplemented. We certainly will need even more quality in some areas and, hopefully, an abandonment (is that a word?) of the negative defensive tactics that seem to be a recurring theme in Malky's coaching manual.

Yes it'll be strange to be the potential whipping boys after the past decent, exciting competitive seasons.... For me winning enough to keep us up... Mostly at home... Taking some big scalps.. including Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City and scoring in excess of 20 goals over the Gypos in our league and double cup quadruple... would be acceptable in the first season..
That's my problem I lack ambition...

Big difference that I think newly promoted teams have to adjust to is the fewer numbers of games. You get to March and the season falls away - if you have the champions league clubs in the last half dozen games then you start looking for opportunities to get anything
I think Malky is a very smart manager. You need to plan a season carefully selecting games - like targeting teams coming back from European away games. I think it's proven statistically that they are vulnerable then.
I really think we'll stay up. The massive difference in the Prem =
1. the level of skilful cheating so we need to expect to give away pens and daft free kicks round the box
2. the level of finishing so we can't make mistakes, need to play to 96 mins and have a good keeper
3, we need to put away our chances

If the big boys knock each other out, a cup run (like our last two) then a bit of silverware is a distinct possibility. It would be nice if we could make Wembley our second home.

For sure. Just need to meet the big boys early on when they play depleted squads and then hope for a nice route to the final (nb Swansea)
However, if we stay up the pull of the Prem money may mean we ignore cup runs. How much is each place in the Prem worth in prize money? At least £1m a place
