No, I haven't been selected for it, but I really want to be. Does anyone know the odds of being selected? Anyone here been selected before, any juicy cases?

Was selected last year, but got out of it on the basis that I wasn't in the UK regularly.
From what I understand from friends, there can be a lot of hanging around and it's pot luck whether you get anything of interest. I don't think any of them would want to do it again.

I did a stint back in November.
I was a bit disappointed to be honest, there's a lot of waiting around and it's not very well organised. They even printed the wrong street name and postcode of the court on the info they sent out.
It's supposed to last for 2 weeks, but I was involved in one case that only lasted 3 days and they didn't need me for the second week.
The case itself was quite interesting since neither the defendant nor the main prosecuton witness were particularly credible, and were ripped apart by the barristers.
I know a couple of people who have been called up a second time, but once is enough for me.

I'd entertain myself, perhaps by humming loudly throughout the case

I was called up by the very same court that gave me the conviction that meant I was ineligible.
