Malky: He says what he wants...
Page 1 of 1 • Share
Has anyone else noticed how Malky appears to just make up the match stats after a game...he seems to exaggerate the 'shots on target' stats everytime....we had 14 shots on goal....we had 16 shots on goal....etc etc...
He does this a lot. Just reading the Forest report
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19939479
Malky said "To be fair to the players they had a go at it and had 13 attempts on their goal in the second half. Tommy Smith hit the post and we had a couple of efforts blocked on the line so on another day we might have got something from the game."
Interesting....scroll a little further down and the BBC have it that we 2 shots on target and 8 off target for the whole game..I'm not sure how this adds up to 13 attempts.
Oh Malky....has anyone else noticed this about him?

I long ago concluded that all football players are utterly stupid, precious little confidence pixies and believe whatever thier manager says to keep their self belief from reality.
They do a fine line in self-preservation, no doubt, but then given the fickle nature of football and fans/chairman in particular if they don't big-up their team and the job they're doing then who the hell else would?
Kamuza, I have to ask - who or what is your avatar? It lends a sense of ludicrous doom to all of your posts. I like it.

Technically speaking, you cannot ever guarantee that any pass that heads in the general direction of the goal isnt a shot. The same way often an own goal is given simply because you can't be sure whether the ball was going in it not, how do you know the 'pass recipient' didn't just get in the way? By this logic, virtually every goal kick is a shot on target, and pretty much every forward pass in the opposition half is too. Therefore, Malky is technically right
