Still being linked to Maynard. Would love it if he came, quality player. Never should have gone to Hammers.

I can't stand him. Don't any of you remember our injury crisis in the playoffs? All our strikers were injured excluding Chopra leading into the semi final against Bristol. 80 minutes into the second leg we led 5-0 on aggregate and our ascendancy to the final was all but confirmed. But then out of nowhere that bastard Maynard pulled a completely uncalled for sliding tackle from behind on Chopra. Didn't touch the ball at all, hooked him straight in the shin and he went down with a broken leg. This meant we had to face Newcastle in the final with NO strikers, forcing us into an unnatural 4-6-0 formation. Needless to say we lost, and it was all Maynards fault.

Oh wait. That may of been on FIFA.

Then it was worth my time writing that, thankyou Malky after a few more... 692773407

Seriously though, defence should be the priority. If we don't bring in another striker I don't think it matters, we can always strengthen ourselves all over again in the January window. But right now, if you look at what's happened in our squad -

Attack - Completely renovated with Helguson and Velikonja (Bellamy?)
Midfield - Completely renovated with Kim, Mutch, Bellamy and the growth of youngsters like Ralls, Kiss, Harris
Defence - No change except we've lost Gerrard and stand to lose Darcy.

RJ is on £45k a week apparently!

Maynard would be a great addition but the priority has to be a right back and Centre back imo.
