Is Whitts the best midfielder ever to play for Crdiff City? I know in a different era one can point to the heroics and achievements of Fred Keenor and Ernie Curtis but has anyone on here ever seen anyone perform as well as PW? The best ever?

There have certainly midfield players as popular (Kav always sticks out for me) but probably none as popular and as skilled.

Showing my age, I think Ivor Allchurch was better-a world class player in his prime- but he was my first footballing hero and maybe I'm a bit biased by that. Ian Gibson was pretty good too.

We will all look back in 10-15 years time and remember Whitts even more fondly than we do now - and that's saying something considering how popular he is now.
Most skilled player that I have ever seen in a city shirt.
Although I do think Noone has the potential to reach a similar status

Looks like he had two good feet AND could head the ball. That last strike I had seen before on a World Cup goal compilation - an absolute screamer.

Sorry guys Whitts is a great championship player but Bellars is class and proven at the top level.
I love whitts but he is nowhere near Bellars when it comes to talent and hes never proved it at the top level.
There are about 15 teams in the prem that would have Bellars in a heartbeat & how many of them do you think would have Whitts ? imo about 6 and most would be relegation clubs because he isnt proven.
As Ive said Whitts is a great player for us but when it comes to the best ever midfielder Bellamy for me would be that man because he can play left mid , right mid & not to mention the other 3 positions.
Im just glad we have them both on the same pitch for us
