First topic message reminder :

Why on earth does this make me want to poke myself in my eyes with a blunt kebab skewer?

Any other illogical pet hates out there, either linguistic or otherwise?

It's toe the line.

And I hate some people's pronunciation of 'room'. Some people say 'rum'. It just grinds me for some reason.

I have bought a wheelbarrow which I have fitted out with a remote control engine, concealed wheels and a self combustion device. I am going to ask Arthur Europe to look after it for me while I go to the shops but instead of going to the shops I will hide behind some bushes and remotely ignite the wheelbarrow and drive it away. Then I shall emerge from my hiding place with a blunt kebab skewer and a map to his eyes and say, "What happened to my wheelbarrow, Arthur"
No one tell him.
