First topic message reminder :

Why on earth does this make me want to poke myself in my eyes with a blunt kebab skewer?

Any other illogical pet hates out there, either linguistic or otherwise?

Doesn't really bug me but my missus has a habit of saying things are 'random' even when they appear to be quite specific.

I am a little unclear was Judge Dred using the term Jelling as the present continuous tense of 'Jell', which I am led to believe that young hepcats use today to indicate that they are jealous of something? If so this sentence is piffle of the highest magnitude

No point invading Czechoslovakia if you can't spell it. Just don't get me started on subjunctive clauses......because I haven't a clue what they are. People who say 'it went on fire' - Page 3 4268314175 coat

A colleague, who's from up Ponty way, just asked me if I had "a scissors". Bastard.

I've never heard anyone say that but if I did I would not be held responsible for my actions.

To be fair, I've never heard any Cardiffians say it. But then Cardiffians aren't really Welsh anyway. :tinhatsmiley: :runawaysmiley: :bryanadamssmiley:
