The sacking of KP

Like him or loathe him I reckon he's been victimised.There are quite a few ego's in the England team so managing them and captaining must be a nightmare.His texting/tweeting was out of order but then again they let Swann get away with slagging off team mates in his book.Who decided to ditch him? Was it Straus and Flower, or the ECB?

Slagging off your captain to the opposition in the middle of a Test Match? No way has he been victimised. And it isn't his only crime . Wants to swan in and out of the team as he likes. Wants to be treated differently to everyone else. He has been incredibly disruptive and has got what he deserves.

As punishment, he should be forced to serve as a committee member of Keep Cardiff Blue. That will teach him a lesson.

Failing that, a weekend spent in the company of Thames Valley Bluebird will do just fine.

I don't agree with him texting the opposition, that isn't on. But I dont agree with you about him wanting to swan out of the team. KP has played all 3 formats of the game for England since 2005 and has played more international cricket than anyone apart from, I think, MS Dhoni for India. The fact is KP is England's best and most valuable player in all 3 formats of the game and needs to be looked after. There is too much ODI cricket being played; for example that series England just played against Australia was just totally pointless. KP needs to apologise and grow up a bit, but the ECB need to realise that he important to English cricket, more so than any other player.
