I'd be encouraged by ANY consortium wanting to buy City at the moment but Scam's statement that he has spoken to leading supporters about a return heralds a return of the dodgy 'in crowd'.

That's alright, turns out I work with someone who is one of the 'in-crowd'. Invited me out for a drink with the rest of them and nearly rang Annis to see if it was alright if I came until I stopped him. That was a hole I had no interest in jumping in to, if you excuse the somewhat horrific pun

I read same article yest and thought same thing, to be honest I'm 50/50 on whether I want Sam back at all, i think I'd rather tan stayed, Sam nearly killed the club and as u say CS if he returned so would the inner circle

The names of the consortium members mentioned elsewhere are unlikely to take any meddling from Sam. He may well broker a deal, but that would be his likely involvement, apart from perhaps a non-executive role.

Cameron Mackintosh most famous for producing the stage show "Les Miserables", when no-one else was interested and a host of other famous shows.
A couple of the others founded Stagecoach, so bags of money there.
However, it is probably all bullsh*t................

Don't know whether it was bullsh*t or not in the first place, but apparently the consortium is now not going to happen............
