Didn't see this and posted about it on the Macheda thread. Looks as if he wants to put out a team of strikers! Think the exit door could be well used soon.

Hopefully adding to the squad this early will enable OGS to offload the players he doesn't need in due course, but without leaving gaps in key positions.
A risky strategy in some ways as the wage bill is obviously rising, before it can be pruned back. Even with a relegation, it is good to see that the owner is still signing the cheques and not saying that we have to sell before buying............

I think it's nice to see OGS signing people we know can score goals, rather than spending £10million on someone most of us haven't heard of who can't...

Money well spent.
Plus if City have all these strikers, no-one else can.

Reading fans on social media not happy about this transfer. Most of them refer to a proven striker being virtually given away.

Im impressed with the way OGS has strengthened our weakest area. We have a better strikeforce now than we did in the Prem!

Apparently OGS and Cantona were Le Fondre's favourite players. That probably helped us sign him! £1million isn't bad for a guy who scored 14 last season when he didn't play regularly and managed 12 Prem goals in a poor Reading team the previous year
