The midfield looked revitalised, even Whitts when he came on.....

Whitts did lose the ball quite quickly after coming on and I did think 'Oh No... We've broken the lad'... Great to see him score and hopefully he can now find his form if Malky plays him further forward...

The team was completely revitalised by changes which probably should have been made before now.
We were solid at the back but the huge difference was in midfield where we were dynamic nearly all game and winning most of the second balls which we've been losing for a month or so.
We were forceful on the flanks with Bellamy and Conway but in central midfield Kim absolutely ran the show, he hardly lost a ball all afternoon, went past players and was everywhere. Mutch was also back to his best and Gunnar complemented the pair of them.
We still only played one up front in theory but the difference today was that the midfield constantly got forward to support Campbell (he turned his ankle before he scored, hopefully it isn't too bad). After he went off, Mason came on and initially looked a bit rusty but took his chance very coolly and got better as the game went on. It was doubly encouraging to see him come on as first sub because it meant that we wouldn't revert to hoofball.
If this team stays together, I am sure we will get the points from our next three home games whatever happens at Watford.
With good results again today it may soon be all over and I wasn't thinking that before this afternoon.

The fact that there was almost no hoofball was a welcome sight.

Kim fully deserve his MOM, Mutch was also very very good - hope we can see more of them in the rest of this season.

Does anyone else fear that right now Malky is thinking "Well the reserves certainly showed Don, Smudger, Heidar and Whitts a thing or two. I bet those four will be refreshed after thier break and work exceptionally hard when I put them back in for the Watford game."
