I had such a bad experience with my last Nokia that it would take a phone of ridiculously good proportions to ever tempt me back to them.
By that, I mean, it would need to make me dinner, massage my back and accurately predict the winning lottery numbers at the very least.

I have a windows 7.5 phone and I have to say that I love it.
It's sleek, v quick, nice to look at and just different from the other two. With the updated windows 8 and the surface tablet, I think Microsoft is finally starting to pull itself back together again.
The marketplace comes in a very distant 3rd currently tbh..in regards to number and quality of apps.
But all apps have all been custom made for the platform and they all have a uniform windows 7.5/8 look about them (with the over-sized font etc).
I think however, the marketplace will boom when the windows 8 phones are released - especially as it supports the unity games engine ( google it if you haven't seen it) which means graphically, the apps will look near console quality.
I thinks Lumia 920 looks brilliant - specs wise, beats the 4s hands down apparently. Although the iPhone 5 is due to be revealed on the 12th. Sorry for me, it will be just a boring upgrade of the last 4 versions.

Interesting. I've never been a fan of Apple products outside of Final Cut Pro and seeing the way Mrs Arkay gets so frustrated with her iPhone has merely compounded that.
I'm still using my rooted HTC Desire on a monthly contract so have no desire (see what I did there?) to change as it does everything I need/want, but I'll keep an eye on this in case I change my mind.

Android is already the best OS for mobile phones, but they have fucked up by allowing the manufacturers and the networks to fiddle with it too much which means that there's lots of versions of the OS running on lots of different types of hardware so it's a pain for developers to create apps for it that work. (so much for open source eh?)
I think they should release a 2 tier version of the OS, a lite version that will have little or no app expected development for cheapo phones, and a full fat version that should be licenced with strict controls on hardware specifications and what the networks can do to the OS.
IF they do that then developers can develop apps they know will work and won't suddenly break and they may then really start to shit apple up...
And I'm saying that as a proud iPhone user (who's also got an Android tablet!)..

The US court where the case was heard is situated 10 minutes away from Apple headquarters
The same case was thrown out by the UK courts.
Make of it what you will ....

That's crazy - not sure why that has happened to be honest. It looks to be an incredible phone. Sleezy Apple probably had something to do with it...

I wonder if has anything to do with their far superior product range? Damn them, damn them all!

If it makes you happy keep believing what you want to hear
Having sat on both sides of the fence IOS is light years ahead still, light years!
It's not all about spec you know. My S3 has an battery draining quad core processor, totally unnecessary for a smartphone and still no noticeable improvement on my old 4S. It's too big, the OS is horrendous, I've had app compatibility issues, it only charges when it wants too (common problem), app development is months behind the app store, I could go on and on.
It's a poor imitation of a far superior allround product IMO and the last time I'll stray off the apple path
