Favourite now appears to be Paul Hartley of Dundee.

Roberto Di Matteo
Gianfranco Zola
Tony Pulis

Now Hartely - would be an interesting choice. Don't know much about the chap but from what I just read, he is potentially an exciting (and cheap) option.
Thing is, do we want to take a risk of play it safe? I think it's early enough in the season to take a risk

Please not Hartley. His only managerial experience is a Scottish second Divison title (I think a bag of maltesers is more prestigious) and a decentish start to the Scottish premier season (which is probably only slightly more prestigious than a bag of maltesers).
I thought we wanted to win the league afterall.

Hartley would be a bit of a gamble I think. I don't watch any Scottish football so I don't know how his teams plays, but his record is encouraging.
Di Matteo would be my choice, then Zola, then Clarke. Pulis would be bottom of the list, just after the work experience lad who took over from Moody.

I believe that City need the stability of an older experinced head and I hope that Pulis isn't too put off that the job appears to have been offered to someone else in the first instance.
So far as Hartley is concerned, if he don't want to come, then we don't want him.

It's confirmed that Ole has gone and Dave Jones has gone from 33/1 to 4/1 to be next manager!!

Why am I so sad to see him leave? I think for the team it's the best decision, so at does the realisation I won't see him next time I'm at the stadium depress me a little?

How do you think it would go down if Jones came back?
Personally, I liked Jones - if he had the same backing back then as our managers do now, I think he would have had us promoted years ago. His teams just always run out of puff after christmas, shouldn't be a problem this time
