Has been linked to QPR today, what I found interesting though was that he only has one year left on his contact.
Question is, should we cash in on him now or let the contract run down so he can contribute this season and hope that he signs extension if promotion is achieved?

This one will sting. Caulker and Medel I expected/am expecting to leave, but I genuinely thought we could keep a hold of Mutch. Hopefully we don't miss him much, with Daehli oozing quality and Burgstaller taking us all by surprise with consistent very impressive displays. Whitts has earned his starting spot back too actually.
Anyone else finding it ironic that we plundered QPR in the season we won the championship, but after relegation they seem to be plundering us?

If £6m is correct then that is a great deal for us considering he's only got a year on his contract and more than makes up for the peanuts we got for Campbell.

I don't think he will be missed, as we are very strong already in midfield. My feeliing is, that, although he had a very good season, he did tend to go missing in games on a regular basis.
As Arkay says, take the £6m and find someone who really wants to play for City. It will be interesting to see who has been lined up as the replacement.

I saw Davide Petrucci of Manure rumoured to be his replacement this morning.

It wouldn't surprise me if there was a sell-on clause, given the way transfers seem to have been structured in recent times.

Reading what Mutch had to say after his transfer was confirmed, I found it a bit self-centred and graceless, in complete contrast to Fraizer Campbell.
