This HAS to be a win, or that's it.

So, I'm going for the same in blind optimism. **Official Match Day Thread - WBA v City** 1525230823

Cardiff City winger Craig Noone has trained all week after missing the defeat by Liverpool and should figure.

Matt Connolly IS also fit again after hamstring injury.

Over 2,600 Bluebirds are heading up to the Hawthorns

Cardiff City manager Ole has virtually a fully fit squad to choose from.

Cardiff City's wing wonder Craig Noone is back for Saturday's clash at the Hawthorns.

Mark Hudson is ruled out for the rest of the season.

Cardiff City need nothing less than 3pts from their visit to the Hawthorns.

TEAM NEWS

West Brom striker Victor Anichebe (hamstring) is a doubt, but Morgan Amalfitano and Diego Lugano could return from knee injuries.

Head coach Pepe Mel has ruled out midfielder Claudio Yacob and defender Billy Jones with hamstring problems.

' West Brom facing injury crisis ahead of Cardiff City clash '

Albion Pepe Mel was today facing a mounting injury crisis ahead of Saturday’s crucial clash with Cardiff after Gareth McAuley and Victor Anichebe joined his growing list of casualties.

Pepe Mel was today awaiting updates on the pair, who both limped off during Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Hull.

The Spaniard is already without the suspended Jonas Olsson and the injured duo of Chris Brunt and Diego Lugano for Saturday while Billy Jones and Morgan Amalfitano missed the Hull game with hamstring problems and are battling to recover for the weekend.

“There is a problem and it’s a worry for us,” admitted Mel. “We need everyone to be available for us at this stage of the season.”

Pepe Mel " Now our only focus is to win the next match against Cardiff."

I dont know why but I feel we are due stuffing a team good and proper.

4-0 Cardiff - I might even put a cheeky bet on it.

Noone is out.

As mentioned, it doesn't really get bigger than this. I've been saying we need three points all week, but a point tomorrow and three next week would be okay.

This is HYAWGE. As mentioned already we need 3 points, anything less is rather, erm, pointless. Three here and then three at home against Palace and we are we...ok so I'm getting a bit too far ahead of myself here. But yeh, 6 points in 2 games and we're in the mix. We haven't been on a run all season, but this is THE time to get on one.

I like Kim, he's got abiwity, but he's been poor for most of the season and it's time for Whitts to come back, we'll need a cool head for that penalty we're surely going to be awarded tomorrow afternoon.

As I was derelict in my duty yesterday in not putting up a prematch thread..........bloody typical....there's no-one on here all week, then suddenly everyone has something to say..........anyway, as I was out enjoying myself and not looking after things on here, I thought I had better do an **Official Match Day Thread** which Rhys can merge with Tache's prematch one.

City have never lost when I have done the **Official Match Day Thread**, so what better time than today to try to perpetuate that run?

I don't expect OGS to sit back and grind out a draw, so this would be my team.......

KTC  Caulker  Cala  Fabio

Kimbo  Mutch  Medel  Zaha

Also, agreed about Kim and Whitts.

I suspect we will see Wilf start today

I like you're setup tda - though I wonder if we will see Fabio play on the right midfield today?

One thing is for sure, Ole does keep us all guessing with his setup and selection. (Which is so refreshing after 7 years of stubborn tactics)

Fabio ended up at left back against Liverpool and was pretty effective getting forward on that side. Not sure about Zaha in front of him though.......maybe start Kimbo on the left, with Zaha and Bellamy given the freedom to roam.
