What does everyone think it will be? Judging by our targets, I'm going for 4-2-3-1, lined up like this (with our targets included)...

                Marshall                          (GK)

Brayford   Hudson   Caulker   Taylor       (Defence)

      Huddlestone    Mbia                    (Deep lying midfielders)

Bellers        Kim/Whitts     Montero       (Midfield/Wingers)

              Cornelius                          (Striker)

If we're allowed to choose players we don't have then may I suggest Bale on the left and Messi up front.

Well if we can't it would be...

Marshall (GK)

Brayford Hudson Caulker Taylor (Defence)

Mutch Gunns (Deep lying midfielders)

Bellers Kim/Whitts Noone (Midfield/Wingers)

Cornelius (Striker)

And that doesn't look as effective by far. It's the way I see him playing it...but Bale and Messi, with Cristiano Ronaldo as the lone striker, would be a reasonable alteration

Ronaldo's pace is better exploited on the wing, Messi should be the lone striker.

Although Ronaldo left, Messi right and Ibrahimovic in the centre isn't a bad alternative...

sorry, but i just don't think taylor is a good full back as he conceedes too many free kicks in dangerous positions. in the premier league that will be punished. once the attacker has passed him, he has the policy of bring him down. not good enough.
as far as central defenders are concerned, i would pick turner over hudson as he was immense on saturday.
so my choice for the back four would be:

brayford turner caulker and john

sitting in front of the back four it would be tom huddlestone/mbia if we can get either of them. failing that then either whitts or if fit gunnarsson

huddlestone

a central midfield and supporting winger

kim, mutch and bellamy

sitting in front of the midfield, supporting the striker and operating on the other flank as necessary i would have campbell as cornelius appears not to be fit then it would have to be maynard as my out and out striker

campbell

maynard

of course additions and fitness to the squad may adjust that team

I would love to have Declan John playing left back but I don't think Malky will make him first choice just yet

My best guess on our current squad:

Marshall
Brayford Hudson Caulker Taylor
Gunnar
Bells Kim Whitts Noone
Cornelius

I think we need another winger as I think Bells will be more an impact player this season, he is in my line-up becuase I wouldnt want to see Conway, Smith or dare I say Cowie on that sheet.

We all know that Malky likes Whitts sat back and Gunns pushing on, but still we want to switch it around!

And I'd go for -
Marshall (but he could be replaced by the new boy)
Brayford, Caulker, Turner, taylor
Noone, Gunns, Whitts, Kim, Bellamy
Cornelius

Brayford looked very poor against Chievo mind. Lets hope it was just a bad day.
