The word is that he will retire at the end of the season.
A sensible decision. He's been a good player but he tailed off in the second half of the season.

He could still do a job for a lower league club but, sadly, isn't really an option for City in the Premier.

He certainly did a great job in the early part of the season. Obviously, it was never intended that he would play as much, but Maynard's injury altered the plan.

Bow out on a high instead of suffering a painful slide down the leagues as you get closer and closer to middle age. I personally feel Earnie should also be considering it very soon.
