Cardiff has hit the Woodwork more than any other team in the league this season.
Craig Bellamy has hit the woodwork more than any other player in the division (7 times) compared with Rhodes, Murray & Boyd who have not hit the woodwork at all.
Marshall is joint first in the league (with several other keepers) for highest amount of appearances – 42. Including substitution appearances Gunnarson has only missed one game this season - 41
Cardiff used only 29 players this season - this puts them 21st in the league.
According to the Cardiff city Website: Nicky Maynard has made more starts (with 3) then Gestede (2) this season. Nicky Maynard has more assists then Smith, Cowie, Kimbo, Mutch, and Conway put together
On average, Craig Noone gets a yellow card for every 8 fouls he does, whereas Craig Bellamy half that amount, with only 4. Both players are 1 yellow card from suspension.
Cardiff has the 5th Highest Average Attendance with 22,676- only behind Brighton, Sheffield Wed, Derby & Forest. All who have higher capacity then CCS.
Cardiff's lowest attendance of the season was against Hull - Only 20,058
Cardiff's Average attendance is higher than Premiership QPR, Wigan or Swansea.

How about the number of different players scoring....I think 17 for City so far.
Will also be interesting to see where we stand in terms of our highest goal scorer...is it three players with 8 at the moment?

According to the League stats, yep G Ster 29 which is much lower than the highest being 40 different players.
If you look at my other Post about winner's medals you will see 25 there plus there a few extra either unused subs or loans like Frei.

Helguson is on 9 in some tables due to his cup goal. We do currently have three players on 8 league goals.
We still don't know who could get our top scorer with Whitts and potentially Helguson not starting, Gunnar playing more defensively, and Noone, Mason and Campbell only two behind. After Saturday Gestede may even fancy himself, he is only 3 off the pace.

Following consultation I can conclude that is both 8 league goals and 1 cup goal and 1 cup goal and 8 league goals.

That Bellamy hitting the post stat - there's a very good reason he hits the post much more than Rhodes and Murray.
....Rhodes and Murray don't miss the target so often.
Yes hitting the post is a very, very close miss, but at the end of the day it's still a miss.

Surprised it's 29 players, seems more like 20 since there haven't been that many changes to the starting XI week by week.
The numbers don't lie though I guess; nice work.

I was under the impression that the definition had been changed, so that a shot against the woodwork (that beats the keeper) is every bit on target as a scuffed shot that trickles into the keeper's arms. It used to be called a miss, but not so now......
