How much money are we set to make? Debt free finally?

Perfect season in some ways to go up with the new TV rights been negotiated.
I believe that the play off win last season was worth £100 mill, surely a top two finish is worth more?
Anyone able to give a sensible guess of the windfall we are due if we go up?
£125 mill? Whatever it is, we should be debt free surely?

Taken from a Forbes financial report on the Prem:
"The reason why the promotion/relegation race is so exciting is because of the financial implications involved. Deloitte estimated that winning promotion to the world’s richest soccer league is worth at least 90 million pounds ($143 million). Promoted teams benefit from at least 40 million pounds in additional revenue, and are guaranteed minimum ‘parachute’ payments of 48 million pounds in the following four seasons, even if they are relegated back to the Championship within a year.
On the other side, relegation to the second division is a fate that can take years to rebound from. It has been calculated that teams that are relegated this year are due to lose about 25 million pounds next season. This massive loss is mostly due to lost television revenue. The bottom team in the Premiership earns around 40 million pounds in United Kingdom and overseas broadcast income, compared to 3 million pounds in the Championship"

I actually think, depressingly, the playoff champions get more money than the overall champions. Playoffs ensure a full house at home in an extra game, income from an extra away game and a chunk of tv income from those two and Wembley. Then there's also the playoff title.
I'd pick the stress free route over the more money route everytime though.

The play-off winners do earn more due to the windfall from the television...but at least this way Malky is probably already speaking to clubs and Tan about specific players, whereas if we were scrapping around the play-off places you can't offer the carrot of (almost) guaranteed Prem footy

Although this does sorta make sense I generally find the money side of football a bit too hard to comprehend and try not to think about it and even if I do I end up like Homer Simpson and start imagining dancing skeletons and stuff.

What's the financial impact of finishing second not first?

Finishing 1st or 2nd in the Champ only has something like a £300,000 difference in relation to the money received from the FA.

There is no beneficial gain from the Play Off Final. There is a gentlemans agreement that the winners give up their share of any monies and the losers get all the cash.
The winners benefit more by going up and it cushions the depression of losing.

Odd that it took such an inane thread to get me back. No offence OP
