No apology needed. You've thirty years of failure more than me and I've still got a smidgen of a suspicion we've just been set up for the mightiest fall ever. Football would be boring if we all just stood there and waited for the end of the season before voicing opinion.

Let's all just wait for that point eh. But I don't think an apology was needed Dave. You said what even the greatest optimist was feeling deep down.

Having said that, we WILL get there this Tuesday. Make sure you're there, and make sure you enjoy every minute.

They say it is the hope that kills sometimes and that has been the way with us for so many years. So many false dawns. So many near misses. There are no apologies needed Dave as i am sure just about everyone (except for welshfella ok guys 692773407 ) has had those doubts - has felt they have not dared to FULLY believe that it was going to happen. To finally be our year. I am nearly 50 myself Dave and my own wait seems to have been long enough.

I am really happy for all City fans who will have the chance to celebrate seeing us get back into the top tier but even more so for people like you who have waited so long for this moment to come around - enjoy it!

(Sorry for jumping the gun R-Dono. I just can't see it not happening this time)

Its alright. I'm completely with you and fully believe we won't get a point on Tuesday, but all 3.

As a Cardiff fan though I refuse to accept this until we do ok guys 692773407

I'm 17 and only been interested in City this year since they turned Red.... Yesterday was an amazing day when City proved that the vintage of 2012/13 are cut from a different cloth..... however we still have to get THAT point (given or taken) before I put on the dancing pantaloons and break out the Valley Two Step.. I'm trying my hardest not to be a massive buzzkill but Devon Lock painted Red anyone? I hope Tuesday will be the day we all remember when we WON promotion to the top table for the first time since 1960 ok guys 833362651 ok guys 833362651 ok guys 833362651

I saw my first game in 1957 and watched us in the old first division so it's been rather a long wait. For many years in the meantime, promotions between the lower divisions were the limit of expectations.
Consequently, I am determined to make Tuesday memorable. There will be no car, a nice flask in my pocket, and we're discussing where the champagne celebration will be afterwards (hopefully in the ground but I presume we can't take a bottle in).
Please City - make it Tuesday.

I have been waiting for 46 years 1 month and 25 days(but who is counting) to see City up where we should be. In that time I have seen the likes of Carlisle, Swindon, Oldham, Bradford, Bristol and Barnsley up there. This year I have refused to get carried away.

Now I am letting myself believe. Please God dont let the unthinkable happen again.

Since November, when we hit the top of the league, my nerves have been shot to pieces. I've managed to keep the lid on things pretty well, I think, compared to a few others of my colleagues, who haven't even been able to watch our away games on tv but have recorded them to watch after knowing the final scores. As someone who is old enough to have witnessed two of our previous three promotions to the higher echelons of the football league, I'd just like to say that this season, so far, has been a far more nerve wracking, even though more enjoyable, experience. All I want now is for us to get the necessary point(s) to ensure promotion and then hopefully go on and become Champions for the first time ever. To Dave and all of my fellow City supporters, fans, call yourselves what you wish, I'd like to say, enjoy the moment and make the most of what we all hope to achieve and live with the hope that when we get to the promised land that we can set up home and remain there indefinitely. Keep up the good work and support the boys and make as much noise as possible.
