First topic message reminder :
This might not tickle everyone's fancy (although I know we've got some Eno fans out there) but after hearing Karl Hyde's new tune (see New Music Thread) it got me thinking about the more ambient music I enjoy. Here's one that I often drift off to sleep listening to...

Fair play, that's excellent!! It's this sort of music you find on Radio 3 "Late Junction" 11.00pn Tues - Thurs!
Soon be on!!
Love that f**k Buttons tune!
The A Silver Mt Zion tune is a cracker no doubt, I've had it on a loop for a bout two years! They are an off-shoot project of Godspeed You! Black Emperor which I can heartily recommend (especially the F#A# album). Their music tends to sound like the soundtrack to a muted apocalypse. Here's one of their more ambient works
Meanwhile, here's Jonsi & Alex

I've heard of A Silver Mt Zion but didn't put it together with the abbreviation
Not actually heard much by them before but they played with and i believe toured with the late (and in my opinion great) Vic Chesnutt.

Gents,
I ruddy well liked this thread so much that I made a Spotify playlist of it, well, at least the songs I could find. So, for those who use Spotify here's the playlist link.
http://open.spotify.com/user/bobbyksmooth/playlist/76YJam1VUuNmrP0tAZ1dFE
I can add more tunes at request or I could just open it up as a collaborative playlist if people are interested? Anyways, enjoy, I am.

Cheers Arkay. I've saved the link to check out later in the week
I would use your spotify playlist too but unfortunately i deleted my Facebook account last year and didn't realise that Spotify won't work without one. I might sign back up to Facebook with a non used account just to get Spotify back again.
On the plus side it did send me looking for alternatives and means i now enjoy the pleasures of Last FM to fuel my music needs.

Ahh, well, you see. I deleted my Facebook account last year and I still use Spotify.
Did you register for Spotify using Facebook? I'm sure there is a way of regaining all your old playlists by using the same email you used for Facebook. If you're not bothered about that, then you should be able to sign up regardless.
I use Last FM too (http://www.last.fm/user/robwestern) and when I find music I like I use Spotify to make playlists or check out albums. As a result, I never, ever get any work done...
