Well it appears he is diverse - both left back, centre back and midfield.

Very useful for us in this injury crisis. Great shout by Malky.

Midfielder, but also plays at left back. Only 6 appearances for Norwich last season, but has 10 under-21 caps for (of course) Scotland.

Alot of fans are saying we need another CB but imo Ben Nugent did a great job on the weekend and should keep his place until Turner comes back.

I imagine if McNaughton is fit he will come back in, and Connolly will move to CB. But otherwise, I agree.

We could do with a CB as well, but it depends on how many options there are available to Malky. Teams are probably looking to sell, not loan, decent Prem defenders (I assume)

Another centre back might be preferable as Hudson (and I think Connolly) are both close to suspension.

I hope we get someone. Surely there is someone decent in need of game time? Maybe Martin Kelly at Liverpool?

Lappin has only ever scored two goals in the English League - and one of them, naturally, was against Cardiff in 2007, gifted to him by Ross Turnbull (remember him?):
