Both his games for us came away from home so i never saw him play.
I am not suggesting we rush in and snap him up but does anyone think he might be worth keeping an eye on for left side defensive cover. I am guessing someone will move in and give him a contract but if they don't then as a released player he would still be available outside of the transfer window.

He ain't cutting it at Norwich, and they ain't home and hosed. Not sure I'd be going down that road.

If he'll accept a six month deal I'd think about it but we won't want him clogging up the squad next season, promotion or not.

I tend to agree with this. A free agent on February 1st probably means he would be open to an offer til the end of the season. As a side looking to be playing in the Premier next season though we need to either keep our options open or sign someone of premiership quality now.
The lack of left sided cover and McNaughton's uncertain form if he is the cover just worries me a little.

Only Malky knows what the plan is there.
He brought Lappin in as an emergency loan and even had Ralls playing as fullback rather than play McNaughton there. Without a new addition i am guessing the plan is hoping that Taylor doesn't get injured or suspended.

I'd expect to see him joining until July then he will be packing his bags to make way for a better left back.

I saw him play at Birmingham which was oly his second game for us and whilst unspectacular he seemed competent and tidy. A Norwich fan i know speaks well of him too so as a short term cover i guess we could do worse.
