And people that drink too much quite regularly claim to hospital staff or police officers that they have had their drinks spike. Very difficult to prove, and much easier to tell friends and relatives rather than admitting you can't handle your drink and emberrassed yourself on a high street. It doesn't mean she was sober though, and it definetely doesn't mean she consented to any actions.
McDonald is a weird one, no doubt about it. It isn't aganst the realms of possibility that she consented with him and Evans got involved without 'real' permission. But then you could argue she was sober enough to consent once so why not twice. But it just gets way too complicated.
