ATTENTION! Cardiff / Vale based Messageboarders...

I know this post will particularly interest Toastie...

Myself, my brother and various friends and associates are organising a regular 5-a-side kickabout at the Gol centre in Leckwith. It's open to all regardless of ability and fitness levels as we just want a fun run out every week - burn off the extra weekend booze / curry etc!



We're going to set up a regular timeslot (at the moment that looks most likely to be Thursday evenings) for people to come along as and when they can make it. We know that not everyone will be able to come every week but the idea is if we get 20-25 people interested then that should guarantee us a minimum of 8-10 attendees (any more is a bonus and means we can rotate teams for rest and it works out cheaper for everyone involved etc).

First knockabout is scheduled for Thursday 23rd

So, if you're interested - or know anybody who might be - then send me a DM and I'll add you to the info list or if you still have my mobile from the last 5-a-side game we played feel free to text me.

Feel free to stick me on the list as a very firm maybe Arkay - I work every Thursday until the earliest 6 and the latest 7, but could maybe work something out. If you fancy moving it to a Monday or Friday though, I could guarantee showing up at least once every two weeks.

It's also quite a distance for me so if you fancy moving it into Newport, that'd be nice too

Well, actually Red the current time slot we have is 9pm until such time as we can change it. I know that might be a bit late for some but will possibly suit others, such is life! Glad to have you on board though and come along whenever you can. Would you mind sending me (via DM, of course) your mobile number? It seems like it's going to be a lot easier to keep people updated via WhatsApp or text message.

Done, and I'll also sticky the topic as soon as I figure out how to actually do it...

No more takers on the 5 a side front? You guys are putting an unbelievably heavy weight on my shoulders if im flying solo - my legs are dodgy enough as it is!

I'm sure the old magic is still there but at my age I'm concerned that even Red's dodgy legs might outpace me.

At this pace it wouldn't matter if Toastie took ofFENCE.

I won't even consider coming out of retirement until i have the appropriate kit.

You'll be glad to know that myself, Red and RDONO didn't disgrace ourselves at all last night in the inaugural weekly five-a-side kickabout. None of us died, puked or severely injured ourselves and that, I think, qualifies as a result.
