Demand based pricing?

Very interesting - I wonder how they will advertise the prices for every game?

It'll be like Easyjet where everyone wants to know how much the person sitting next to them paid..

All those wanting refund season ticket, make them pay high price trying to sneak in on a match day ticket

The perks of a season ticket are as follows

1) You have the same seat every game guaranteed in a location you happily specified whilst purchasing said ticket
2) You get to know other season ticket holders in and around the area which makes match days more enjoyable if you know the people
3) You haven't got to worry about getting a ticket

Even if demand based pricing did work out £50 cheaper over a season which it wont I'd still rather a season ticket for those reasons above.

23 games at home.

PRICES BASED ON ADULTS: The lowest current match day ticket is £18 and £33 for the highest. Expect the demand based pricing to range from around £15-35.

A game against Leeds or Blackburn with possibility of promotion on the line will see a £30+ charge whereas a rainy Tuesday game that doesn't mean all in the long run ~£15. Expect also this to be averaged out over the season so you're looking at £25 per game on match day prices.

£25 * 23 = £575

Considering the most expensive season ticket for an adult is less than that it still makes it better to commit. There is no way they're going to lose money on this scheme. Its just a way of balancing things out.

Look at the 2-2 QPR game the season before last. That had a lot on the line so ~£30 tickets are fair game imo. If you're looking at a game like Sheffield United when they were on verge of relegation, no disrespect to them, then £15 is fair game.

Good and fair move by the club as long as its not a tool used to massively inflate prices like QPR's owners did.

The club will abuse the system im sure, remember the the old saying there's no such thing as a free lunch or a cheap seat for that matter.
