McCormack

Anybody see his goal today? Really well taken and put in a great shift for Leeds today. I was disappointed to see him leave (despite his whinging) as he is still a quality player. Not sure I would take him back in this set up but can't help but feel we didn't sell him for what he was worth.
Also got me thinking, at one point we had McCormack, Bellers, Chopra and Bothroyd upfront - is there ever been such a bunch of likely lads thrown together? No wonder our promotion campaign imploded

A truly exceptional team is greater than a sum of its parts... Too many prima donnas and too few mediators and arbitrators back then in the team for it to work properly

With the benefit of hindsight maybe we should have kept McCormack and sold (or never bought back) Chopra but at the time McCormack was having niggling hamstring troubles and Chopra wasn't in the same off field mess he is now. Fraizer will out perform them both.

He did like a small squad did our Dave which I'm sure was a contributory factor to those huge blips in form we were susceptible to during his reign. Maybe we needed the cash but you have to wonder if we'd kept McCormack that year where we'd be now.
