* karlmpayne - BADGE DESIGN POLL *

First topic message reminder :

Hi all
My name is Karl, and i created the two emblems that have been floating around on here for just over a week.
The support that i have received from everyone has been amazing and thanks top some of you sending my emblems to Cardif City HQ and my emailing of the emblems to Alan Whiteley, they have asked to see come in on wednesday to discuss the designs in more detail.
I am almost 100% sure that i have missed the boat this time as regards getting it on a city shirt this season, but im hoping to be given the chance to help develop a future emblem.

I want to show Cardiff City the support that the fans have given me by presenting the emblems with a poll on which emblem the fans would be willing to have on a shirt.
This is the first Poll ive ever created and so i hope it works, If it dont then I appologise for wasting peoples time.

Anyways i will add the logos below marked with (A), (B), and (C)

A= Cardiff Citys New Proposed Red Crest

B= My Round Crest

C= My Shield Crest

Thankyou very much mate, thankyou all.. Ive created everything i need to show them and your on the proposal, infact your web banner at the top is there too.. My meeting is tomorrow and so tomorrow evening ill post on here to say how it went.. Ive made some small changes to the circle crest.. the changes are taken from the comments made on all the forums this poll was posted on. ill reveal it if Cardiff City give me a thumbs up.

everything went well today with the city, Not too much achieved at the moment but going back in a couple of weeks to discuss future branding in more detail. Sorry i cant do anything about the badge and kit being used this season, but theres a good chance you may see one of my badges shown here or something else i come up with on next seasons kits.. thanks for all your support guys..

If your badge isn't selected for next seasons kit at least we know one thing, our owners are blind.

Just a thought mate, is there any way you could incorporate a cow or moose onto the badge? It would have to be quite prominent as well to satisfy my design preferences. If you can't do it, well, it's a deal breaker for me to be honest and if there's no moose, there's no Colonel. We come as a package.

Karl, did you do a slightly different circle badge after? Any chance we can see it?

did not vote, have not voted and what is more will not vote as there is nothing wrong with what we have. if you honestly think that you have designed a quality product the may i suggest that you go back to art school

i find it rather distastful that the only time some of you appear is when you offer to fight with somebody else's blood, then disappear after claiming a rampant victory in some tin-pot pub

if you are serious in your aspirations regarding a badge change then why not consider something that could be acceptable to the club rather than a badge that will not get off the ground

Steady on there Dave! Don't think Karl or anybody was looking to start a fight here.

As I remember it, Karl offered some of his own designs (and this here poll) to the world back last year after the rebrand as even the most pro-red supporters were disappointed with the badge the club had designed. Generally speaking Karl's designs are very popular with the messageboard contingent. Personally, I think they're great and would love to see the club adopt a badge designed by a fan that for the most part part (your opinions notwithstanding, of course! ) people like - it would be a fantastic gesture.

Yep, the circular badge with Barcelona-type red/blue halved shirts....would have been lovely!

Yes, that was my choice. But any badge containing that much blue isn't going to be looked on favourably, I'm afraid.

Said it before and I'll say it again, badge B is one of the nicest badges we've had. I think its nicer than the St Davids one we had. Having a pop at a man who genuinely did it for the betterment of the club is a bit harsh.
