Hi all
My name is Karl, and i created the two emblems that have been floating around on here for just over a week.
The support that i have received from everyone has been amazing and thanks top some of you sending my emblems to Cardif City HQ and my emailing of the emblems to Alan Whiteley, they have asked to see come in on wednesday to discuss the designs in more detail.
I am almost 100% sure that i have missed the boat this time as regards getting it on a city shirt this season, but im hoping to be given the chance to help develop a future emblem.
I want to show Cardiff City the support that the fans have given me by presenting the emblems with a poll on which emblem the fans would be willing to have on a shirt.
This is the first Poll ive ever created and so i hope it works, If it dont then I appologise for wasting peoples time.
Anyways i will add the logos below marked with (A), (B), and (C)
A= Cardiff Citys New Proposed Red Crest
B= My Round Crest
C= My Shield Crest
sorry about the link i wasnt sure which was the easiest way to put a pic here
Once Again Thank you all so much for showing such appreciation for my design

I've updated it for you Karl Thanks for registering too - your very welcome on this board
For me, option 3 is my favourite purely on the basis that I used to City having a shield like badge and not a rounded one...
Great work though Karl - it would be interesting to know what the cardiff hierarchy think of it!

More of a pre-meeting briefing at the moment. I was contacted straight after the announcement about giving fans more input. Im not sure whats going to happen yet but ill be showing what the fans would like as regards the crests.
cheers for labelling it as an announcement.
Karl
cheers for labelling it as an announcement.

No problem :)
It may take a little longer to get a decent poll result on here at the moment as we are just a small fledgling (but growing!) community - hopefully though you'll have something from us by Wednesday that will contribute!

I've gone for the round one for two reasons:
1) When I first went down to NP the shirt badge was a simple bluebird on a white disc - still my favourite.
2) The bluebird on the disc is smaller than the bluebird on option 3; we must not forget that a driver for the re-brand is the
"Nissan Bluebird Experience"
Nissan's Bluebird (sedan) is translated as Lan-Niao in Chinese. In Mandarin, lan means blue and niao means bird-no problem. However, the reading of the characters for lan niao in the Minnan (Hokkien-Taiwanese) is lan jiao, which also sounds like the word for male genitals. It's rather complicated, but although blue in Minnan is lan and bird is jiao, the term lan jiao is bad, to put it mildly.
I think we have to accept that the bluebird needs to be diminished in prominence. :laughingabit:

I know this is going to be unpopular, could you produce the B crest without a Bluebird please. just to see what it would look like without it. Thanks

Thanks.
I personally think a crest that is not cluttered would look better. I also think that the club could make the new shirts with a bluebird label on the sleeve to give those wanting to keep the nickname going. I'm sure Bluebirds will service without it but would go some to appease some fans.
I ment survive

Definitely the round one. It just looks classy and the dragon fits into the circular part brilliantly. The bluebird also looks right in that one whereas in the other it looks a bit squashed and the Est 1899 looks out of place. Not saying the 3rd badge isn't a good design, its still massively better than the one on the left and I would happily take it. However, if it were to be one of those three, definitely the middle one.
