We are looking a little thin, especially as Keinan doesn't seem to be rated at all. Perhaps Malky thinks Nugent and Oshilallja can play at Championship level or maybe one of his mates (Pardew, Brenda) has a quality player in abeyance he'll loan us when Hudson has his annual knee injury.

Does Keinan count if he's rubbish?

6 defenders is not plenty, it's worryingly few. Hudson's knee goes too regularly for my liking, McNaughton is getting injured more and more frequently. Those two go down simultaneously and we only have 4 left, anymore problems and we don't have a back four available anymore. Yes we could look at the possibility of youths and bringing other players back in, but that's opening the door to our defence collapsing and us having to score two or three goals a match just to draw.

We definetely need in my opinion two more defenders.

Keinan may not be highly rated but I think he's still decent cover. Saw him play for the U21's recently and his attitude seems good as well.

Good attacking players are harder to get and more expensive than defenders. The priority has been to get the midfield sorted out and a top striker, assuming the Maynard deal goes through then that's job done for Malky. We already have a solid back four that was exposed badly last season due to our shortcomings in midfield, now we have addressed that, we should be able to take pressure off them. I'm sure we will bring in another centre half in the loan window.
