Callum Paterson: Do we really need another fullback?
Page 1 of 1 • Share
Not exactly top of my priority list.
For me, listed in order of importance:
GK
Wingers - Left and Right
CM - maybe two of them
Forward - To push Ken (though we have a few options)
From my point of view, we are failrly strong at the back

I'm inclined to agree although I'm not sure if Colin is convinced about Jazz Richards and may see Lee Peltier as cover for full back and centre half if Manga goes as expected.

Paterson can play wide further up the pitch and has also scored a decent number of goals. I would say that Neil Warnock is looking for versatility, as he has with Bennett, Peltier, Connolly, Bamba and to a lesser extent Declan John.
Doesn't Halford provide that versatility though?
Saying that, I'm always keen for us to be looking at promising young players as it implies the club are actually thinking about the future!

I always feel like Halford is someone you would only use for the last ten minutes to shore things up. Peltier is too limited going forward and it looks like Warnock doesn't rate John

Halford appearing was always the sign to go home, Cardiff were shutting up shop win or lose.
But yeah, I think this is going to allow Peltier to move further inwards on a cover basis. Would have preferred to hear news about a new goalkeeper, striker or Whitts-esque ball playing midfielder though.
