......very rarely work.
It was clear today that City were lacking a leader and organiser. There is only so much a goalkeeper can organise from such a deep position.
In our squad, at the time we bought them, we have the captain of Reading, the captain of Lorient, the captain of Birmingham City, together with the captain of Iceland, who, by all accounts was City's best player today.
Can't help but feel that Marshall was a poor choice.

I have to disagree, Gunnarson, although worked hard, was poor for me. Gave the ball very often, had two left feet on several occasions - I thought whitts, ralls and gunnars together all performed poorly today and are the main reason we lost.

I agree with both, midfield vanished without trace today, but goalkeeper captains are not a good idea.
