9:18 - The club have just told journalists that they are not allowed to publish anything live for the duration of the press conference. This is highly unusual

09:37 - Ben Turner is first up at the press conference, followed by Malky Mackay.

09:44 - We've just heard that Malky Mackay will not be addressing this morning's press conference, which will instead be taken by assistant manager David Kerslake. Rumours circulating online that Mackay was seen driving away from the training ground are currently completely unsubstantiated.

* Kerslake says he understands Mackay will take charge of the team to face Liverpool: "Nobody has said anything different."

* He insists managerial turmoil will not affect preparations for Anfield match: “This will not affect the players at all. They are looking for to a match at a fantastic stadium.”

* Press told all questions will be about tomorrow's game, and all questions about Mackay's future pushed aside.

It did seem to get a bit heated, and rightly so. The journalists are acting as the bridge between us fans and the club - and right now we are left in the dark yet again. Kerslake was left in a horrible position, but the club need to be straight and tell us what is going on.
