From the Press - Cardiff Predictions

So far, I've seen two predictions of 2nd place for City this season; one from The Times and another from, ahem, Stan Collymore.
Anybody got anymore they've seen?

I'm expecting VT to shore up any weaknesses (real or potential) after christmas which still leaves plenty of time to go up auto. There are one or two other reasons which shall remain private but we will be ayatollahing like demons come easter.

This strategy always confuses me, why wait until after Christmas? And then inevitably the manager always comes out and says there are no good deals available in the January window

By then you know exactly what problems you've got but it'll cost to get the right player in.

Yeah, and then the manager always comes out and says all the players are overpriced and we'll be better off waiting until the summer. It confuses the feck out of me

Didn't Stan Collymore tip us to win the league?
But yeah, I don't like being tipped as favourites. I much prefer everyone expecting us to be crap to be honest. If we are awful we did exactly what was expected, any better is a great feeling. If we're suddenly favourites to win, it's going to make 2nd place, even catering in promotion, a touch disappointing.

Oh, he might've actually. I can't remember exactly but he defo had us to go up auto.
I know what you mean about being favourites but maybe expectation might push the players harder, especially now Bellamy is onboard. Either way, if we want to go up, we have to perform and beat teams around us. If we don't, then we don't deserve it.
Saying that, I always maintain a successful season for City is not getting relegated. In my eyes we are, therefore, only 47 points away from a successful season.

If Malky takes the brakes offand lets the players express themselves there is no reason why we cannot compete in the top 2 all season.
