Shining stars (in order) -
Campbell - Had to be, didnt it? Both goals were gifted by shocking set piece defence by Man City, but Garcia will be having nightmares for weeks trying to keep up with him
Whitts - He's like a new signing. He has a new attacking mentality that sees him constantly hovering around the box and constantly looking to jangle Hart's nerves.
Taylor - Made Navas look pub team quality, a stunning defensive wall
Bellamy - Clearly knackered by the end but was faultless, never have up a chase in attack or defence and made Connollys job very simple
Medel - no matter where the attack came from, he appeared to be in the way. Would of leapfrogged a few spots if be out his boot into 'toys out of the pram' Toure.
Kim - Still needs to pass a bit more if I'm brutally honest, but that's not taking away from an outstanding performance
Special credit to Cornelius who in his brief stint nearly made the crowd COMPLETELY lose their mind by overpowering Lescott and being inches from a free run onto goal. Really should be starting soon, the problem is who do you replace?
Also to Turner, who still likes to hoof it but also made 11 clearances, all of them vital.

No mention of Caulker? He was outstanding. God knows how we managed to get him from Spurs. He and the excellent and always underrated Turner were the foundation for our win I thought.Red614 wrote:Shining stars (in order) -

Him and Gunnarrson both should of been included really, apologies. Realistically the only person I wouldn't specifically mention is Connolly, who I feel had a better game overall but did also have his hand held heavily by Bellamy. If Brayford isn't in the plans, a new RB is a must. If yesterday is reliable evidence however, everywhere else we'll do just fine.Alf Red wrote:No mention of Caulker? He was outstanding.
