Good for the squad if he signs - he played very for us and was part of the squad that kept most of the clean sheets I believe. 

I genuinely think that Hudson and Turner are good enough for the PL

I'd agree, the problem we have is when we lose one via injury/suspension, we have effectively no one left. Good quality back up is what's needed and Barnett would do fine

i think he is a bit more than a good quality back-up for hudson or turner as he is much the quicker player around the park

I agree. Both did exceptionally well in the Carling Cup Final against some tough opposition. It's top quality backup we need. Based on his performances for us last season, Barnett would be a good (and cheap) addition.

Saying that though, we definitely need a new first team right back. If we get one, that would then free Connolly to become our back up in the centre. So we COULD get away with just one right back. Would like to see more cover too though I'd money was no object. As (I think) Slumdog pointed out in an earlier thread, we need to also sort out providing more chances on goal, and then making the most of them. A new winger is a must.
