Well this is good news. I have a season ticket and would like to take my adult son to some games pretty unlikely this season maybe cup games.
So now that we are getting more seats for next season will be able to see more games together.
Really excited about this news.

Think there's a few hundred going in over the summer in the corners. Will then go up to as many as 42,000 in the next few seasons.

work is to begin this september on the ninian stand but with no seats being added until the close of next season. this will include 5,000 extra seats in the new tier and a bar type area which will hold approximately 1,000 people. phase 2 will then include the expansion of the grange and family stands by 3,00 each giving a total of 38,500. phase 3 will be the expansion of the corner sections to link all upper tiers which will take the final capacity to approximately 42,000. this is of course after this summer's minor alterations "filling in the corners" which will take us to 27,500 for next season, which i for one am ecstatic about as i have always said the corner emergency exit sections are far too big and not in the correct dimensions for the stadium. these works are planned to be completed within 2 years.
alot of debate as to whether this move is too fast and if we will be able to fill it on other forums. i think if we stay up for the next 2 seasons then okay we might not fill it for every game and may only half fill it for a few of the games but in my eyes it will entirely be worth it for the games for which we can fill it. can you imagine a south wales derby in the premier league in front of 42,000 cray welsh people... i'm salivating at the mere thought of it. even if we don't stay up i am confident we will get back within 2 years regardless. infrastructure is key for regeneration so coupled with the new training facilities this can only be a good move, surely?

Here is the Wales Online article. Their numbers are different, I think, but I would trust Drew over them any day of the week and twice on Sundays

Amazing how fast our club is moving forward, but let's be real, it's imperative we stay up this season. It is exciting though and quite literally unbelievable.
