First topic message reminder :
Sky Sports just stated that Manchester United will announce their new manager in the next 48 hours!
Considering that Moyes' future at Everton has been the subject of intense speculation over the last few months, is it a done deal? Could this move for Moyes have implications for City? MM is second favourite with the bookies for the Everton job behind Martinez.

The Tonker wrote:I take your point, TDA, but equally you'd have to ask why he would need to say yes now rather than, say, next week once everything's settled?TDA wrote:The Tonker wrote:Everton still have an outside chance of a Europa place. I can't see Moyes agreeing to a move until that's settled, so if Man U are announcing a replacement in the next 48 hours I would have thought either (a) they know for certain Spurs will beat Chelsea tonight, thus ending Everton's chance at 5th spot, or more likely (b) they've already got Mourinho in their sights.
Only thing I'd say is that it's a given that Moyes is heading out of Everton this summer. Confirming where he was going sooner rather than later should make no difference. He will still give 100% to Everton whilst he's there......he's that sort of bloke.
As an aside, a quote from a Grauniad article a few days ago:
"a senior executive at Old Trafford confided recently there was no chance they would turn to someone who had practically no experience of working with a large budget or managing in the Champions League."
Ha......it's obvious then.........
Benitez to Man Utd
Mourhino to Chelsea
Malky to Everton
Moyes to Cardiff

Tomorrow's Daily Star makes Malky Everton's no. 1 target. Must be true then.
