New defenders, and some more consistent wingers on both sides.
But personally, I think talking about replacing anyone in the squad right now is downright insulting. They got us to where we are now and least for a little while, they all deserve the celebrations.
Yes, even Conway.

My head is spinning still and can't seem to concentrate - initial thoughts:
Plunder the best of the championship if we can - maybe two or three players. Austin, Vydra and a couple from blackburn maybe?
I hope that all who will pick up a medal this season gets a chance next year too

The only thing I could think of this morning was that Tom Heaton must be gutted leaving a prem team for a team that has just been relegated.
He is way to good for that lot.

Gaza - don't worry about red, he can come across very blunt and just likes a good debate - I'll have to speak to him about house warming skills for new members!
Perfectly valid question in my view.

Vydra or Austin would be good buys...Oliver Holt, a top sports journalist, said last night that we need "to strengthen in all areas" based on a few games he had seen

It's natural that some of the squad will feel threatened by the step-up, but they all deserve their moment of glory.
I've no idea who Malky will go for, but there should be plenty of excitement in the months ahead. Hopefully there will be a policy of evolution rather than revolution when it comes to the starting XI for next season.

No harm intended though, Rhys is right. I can honestly say that I've only ever lost my temper once on this board and that only lasted a couple of posts. I'd also like to think its pretty obvious when it happens, so honestly don't worry about me I'm a kitten deep down

we need a striker with a proven record. campbell is a winger and that is where i would play him, besides he is injury prone. two wing backs and a central defender as well as another two out wide in midfield

Ditch: Kev , Cowie, Conway, Velcro, Kiss, Helguson
The spine of the team will do well. There are questions over players like Taylor, Gestede, Connolly, etc. But I don't think 25m will be required. But hey if that much is available...Soton spent well over 20m and they are doing well but then you think of QPR. I'd like to think we have more in common with the Saints.
