Hi All
I a have not been around much lately so I am sorry if this question has been raised (many times I suspect) but I was wondering how much people care about winning the championship?
I have been focussed solely on promotion and winning the tittle has not even entered my thoughts tbh. However, with us now so close I find myself thinking about it. I suspect that if we do secure promotion it may become more of an issue, but I am not sure how much it will really bother me.

Promotion is the only thing that matters. But, having been top for so long, and with the lead we still have, I want the championship as well. It looks so much better on the list of honours. So I will be more than a bit annoyed if we finish 2nd, but I would still enjoy the promotion.

The title has always been what it's been about for me. Yes promotion was the primary goal, but to have had the lead for so many months and then lose it would be an injustice and perhaps knock some confidence.
Plus, who doesn't want to party twice?

It is all relative i suppose. Blowing promotion this year would have left me devastated. Even now with promotion a breath away the thought of the Blackpool play off final still gives me cold shivers. Will i be disappointed if we don't win the title? Yes i will - but it will be the kind of disappointment that would fade in a day or two as i remember what has been achieved and what we have to look forward to next season.
The right results on Tuesday could see us 9 points ahead of Hull with 3 games to play and a vastly superior goal difference. I would love us to get the title in the next two games and have the final home game against Bolton one with 0% pressure and 100% celebrating

Now that the big issue is all but resolved we can relax into the thought that very soon we should and will be champions of the football league. What an achievement. Only in our history twice have we been promoted as champs in Div 3 south in 47 and under Eddie May from the old Div 4 in 93.
I want to party solidly for the next 3 weeks and hear We are the Champions blasting our from our tannoys.
What chants would you like to hear?

As I have said before, it will be vital that we take the title to be able to take momentum and a sense of real achievement into next season.
Falling away to second place after dominating the table for so long would be an anticlimax and, I don't care what anyone says, it would definitely affect morale.

must admit i would feel as if we had been robbed if we were pipped to the title. hull have two tricky fixtures, away to wolves on friday and a bit easier home to bristol city. both matches they should win, but when teams are fighting for survival anything can happen

As far as outcome which is promotion first or second is irrelevant... However I fear if we were pipped at the post it would be a real kick in the bulbs whether we care to admit it or not.... When does City ever get the girl... Hopefully that fat slag of a championship title cup will be coming home with us for a good rubbing and polishing up

Winning the Championship would be the second best trophy this club has ever won. We have been top since the end of November at times by up to 12 points. So yes I would be dissapointed if we do not go up as champions.
Besides its the football league trophy, the one you used to get for winning the old 1st division before the Premier league came along. I'd quite like to win that.

I'll be a bit disappointed if we don't win it yeh, especially after leading it for so long. I'll confident we will though.

I want to win the title. I won't lose sleep if we don't, it's just that we have sat at the top for so long, and suffered for so many seasons, I think it's our time
