Tanni Grey-Thompson on the BBC:
"Winning gold is an amazing feeling. There is joy, relief and a range of emotions. What the public don't see is that afterwards you get chucked into a room with a bottle of water and a banana and you wait and wait before going out for the medal ceremony."

What sort of a way is that to treat the nation's heroes?

Christ! If you replace "medal ceremony" with "tepid shower" then it sounds not too dissimilar to my gym.
